Fixed work schedule, Monday to Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

About av-tech :

av-tech is a globatech subsidiary with over 350 employees working in more than 700 buildings across Quebec, and can meet all the needs inherent in building management (refrigeration, plumbing, electricity, building mechanics, commercial kitchens, etc.).

What your role will be as a technical professional:

• Carry out new installations and modifications to existing installations;
• Maintain and repair the research oratory in one area;
• Work in conjunction with various trades;
• Locate, diagnose, isolate and troubleshoot faults in electrical and electronic systems;
• Remove and replace defective components;
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance programs and maintain maintenance logs;
• Check, install, connect and maintain cables, conduits, controls, circuits, auxiliary equipment and accessories;
• Keep building electrical plans and schematics up to date;
• Verify compliance of electrical installations made by subcontractors;
• Maintain lighting systems in institutional and commercial buildings;
• Manage purchase orders according to priorities;
• Follow-up with customers;
• And all other related tasks.

What we're looking for in our new colleague :

• Diploma of Vocational Studies (DVS) in construction and building electricity;
• Compagnon competency card from the Commission de la construction du Québec (mandatory);
• Minimum 5 years' experience in preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical systems in institutional buildings.

If, in addition, you possess :

• A good knowledge of the maintenance of high-capacity UPS systems;
• Excellent general knowledge of building-related electrical controls;
• And proficiency in reading electrical plans and generator systems.
