Our Montreal-area team is looking for a new leader to support its operations in parking, security and access control solutions.

Under the supervision of the Director of Operations, the Project Manager (Construction) manages the team of technicians and coordinates operations and project-related activities in his division. He provides the operations team with first-rate technical support, providing professional assistance during project installation and commissioning to both the technical team and the clientele.

Your role as a member of the operations team will be to:

Manage projects and provide technical support

  • Structure the execution of each contract obtained, in cooperation with colleagues, based on the documentation provided by customers, as well as the solutions presented, purchase orders obtained and any other relevant information
  • Participate in the planning of the work to be carried out, the labor, equipment and material requirements of the projects for which he is responsible;
  • Define the volume of work, the availability of subcontractors and plan the technicians' time and related expenses;
  • Highlight the constraints and difficulties for the realization;
  • Provide an expert consultancy service for special works and/or particular situations;
  • Act as the main technical support for the team of installers and commissioning technicians;
  • Visit work sites to provide professional supervision for technicians and verify the execution of the work;
  • Meet with customers on site and listen carefully to respond to comments and/or complaints;
  • Manage projects and coordinate deliverables according to the quality standards established by the company;
  • Eliminate all production deficiencies in order to receive final acceptance of the assigned project.

Human resources management

  • Manage the workforce involved in project implementation;
  • Provide professional supervision to employees by giving them all the support they need to complete projects successfully;
  • Participate, in collaboration with the Director, in the recruitment and day-to-day management of the staffing needs of their department;
  • Participate in the development of a sense of belonging and ensure a healthy working environment;
  • Resolve internal conflicts and carry out the disciplinary process when necessary;
  • Participate in prevention activities in the field of occupational health and safety (observation visits, application of policies, etc.);
  • Proactively participate in the technical development of its employees (continuing education).

What we look for in our leaders:

  • Diploma of vocational studies or college diploma in a related field (asset);
  • 1 to 3 years' experience in a similar position;
  • Knowledge of security, access control or parking;
  • Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines and budgets;
  • Health and safety ambassador;
  • Experience of construction sites (an asset);
  • Good interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to guarantee the confidentiality of information entrusted to them, as well as to demonstrate diplomacy, tact and good judgment;
  • Excellent oral and written expression skills in French (compulsory);
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and ERP-type software;
  • Possess a valid permit issued by the Private Security Office (BSP);
  • Possess a valid driver's license.
