Are you a versatile, self-starter? We have an opportunity for you! We are currently looking for a CCQ Journeyman Plumber for a long-term replacement to join our team based at Notre-Dame Hospital in Montreal on a fixed daytime schedule, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday to Friday.
Under the supervision of the av-tech inc. service manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, installation, modifications and repairs of various plumbing and mechanical building systems.

av-tech is a globatech subsidiary with over 350 employees working in more than 700 buildings throughout Quebec, and can meet all the needs inherent in building management (refrigeration, plumbing, electricity, building mechanics, commercial kitchens, etc.).
What your role on our team will be like:
- Take care of parts inventories in their area and advise their foreman of quantities;
- Have a proven ability to analyze problems in the operation and maintenance of domestic hot, cold and recirculating water distribution systems, sanitary and storm sewers, electronic and timed faucets, urinals, cisterns, sinks, showers, grease traps, pumps, etc..;
- Carry out all regular verification and maintenance work on all plumbing equipment designated by the contract administrator;
- Transmit relevant information for inclusion in the computerized maintenance system;
- Ensure that equipment is kept in a satisfactory state of cleanliness;
- Respond to service calls;
- Keep plumbing plans up to date;
- Assist other contractors responsible for maintenance, verification and adjustments of specialized equipment such as kitchen equipment, grease tank emptying, piping cleaning, etc;
- Any other related tasks.
What we're looking for in our new colleague :
- DEP in plumbing and heating;
- Competency card from the Commission de la construction du Québec (CCQ) as a journeyman pipefitter/plumber (mandatory);
- 5 years' experience in similar preventive and general corrective maintenance tasks in institutional or commercial buildings;
- Dexterity, precision and attention to detail;
- Ability to work in a team and with the public;
- Sense of priorities and organization;
- No criminal record related to the job.
