Under the supervision of the Operations Manager, the Project Manager (Construction) will lead the team of technicians and coordinate the department's operational and project-related activities. S/he will provide first class technical support to the operations team, ensuring professional guidance during installations and project start-ups for both the technical team and customers.

What your role in our team will be like:

Project management and technical assistance:

  • Structure the execution of each order received, in collaboration with staff, based on documentation provided by clients, as well as solutions presented, orders received, and all relevant information;
  • Participate in the planning of the work to be carried out, as well as the manpower, equipment and material requirements of the projects for which he is responsible;
  • Determine the scope of work, availability of subcontractors, and forecast technician time and related expenses;
  • Provide expert advice on special assignments and ∕ or special situations;
  • Act as primary technical support for the team of installers and commissioning technicians;
  • Visit job sites to provide expert guidance to technicians and to verify job performance;
  • Meet with customers on site and ensure adequate listening skills to respond to comments and/or complaints;
  • Ensure project management and coordination of deliverables in accordance with the quality standards established by the company;
  • Eliminate all production defects to obtain final acceptance of the assigned project.

Human Resources Management :

  • Manage the human resources related to the project execution;
  • Provide professional guidance and support to employees to ensure successful completion of projects;
  • Participate, in conjunction with the Director, in the recruitment and day-to-day management of the department's staffing needs;
  • Participate in developing a sense of belonging and ensuring a healthy work environment;
  • Resolve internal conflicts and follow the disciplinary process when necessary;
  • Participate in health and safety prevention activities (observation visits, policy enforcement, etc.);
  • Participate proactively in the technical development of their employees (continuous training).

What we look for in our managers:

  • Professional diploma or university degree in a related field (asset);
  • 3 years of experience in a similar position;
  • Knowledge of security, access control or parking;
  • Ability to manage priorities, deadlines and budgets;
  • Construction site experience (an asset);
  • Good interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to maintain the confidentiality of information entrusted to him/her and to exercise diplomacy, tact and good judgment;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in French (mandatory);
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and ERP software;
  • Possess a valid driver's license issued by the Bureau de la sécurité privée (BSP);
  • Possess a valid driver's license.
