Under the supervision of the foreman, the position holder in the av-tech division repairs, renovates and maintains mechanical equipment or installations in the building.

What your role on our team will be like :

• Perform inspection rounds and chemical water treatment, and see to equipment maintenance;
• Respond to tenant service calls regarding HVAC systems;
• Diagnose, identify and implement HVAC system deficiencies;
• Carry out mechanical repairs on equipment, such as: relining pumps, changing bearings, bushings and pulleys, making alignments, lubricating bearings, replacing seals, rebuilding pneumatic valves, changing transmission belts, etc;
• Research parts and supplies;
• Interpret control diagrams and building mechanical plans;
• Use a computer to work on automation systems;
• Check, repair, adjust or calibrate various components: transmitter, controller, valve, motor, positioner, probe, relay, PRV, thermostat, etc;
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment;
• Follow-up on subcontracted mechanical work and support contractors as needed;
• Perform minor plumbing and welding work;
• Maintain workshops and mechanical rooms, including cleaning and painting;
• Unclog toilets, sinks, basins, showers, urinals and toilets, and run cameras through pipes;
• Replace and order light bulbs and neon lights;
• Maintain air compressors and ensure proper operation;
• Perform sprinkler flow test every three (3) months and fire pump test every month;
• Assist electricians with monthly and annual generator tests;
• Perform water tests and adjustments to chemical treatment systems;
• Maintain Legionella registry (RBQ);
• All related tasks for a fixed machinery mechanic. He/she must be equipped with PPE and comply with lockout procedures.

What we're looking for in our new colleague :

• DEP in fixed machinery mechanics (mandatory);
• Carte de compétence en mécanique de machines fixes, classe 4A ou 4B (mandatory);
• Relevant experience in preventive and corrective maintenance of stationary mechanical systems in institutional buildings equipped with modern technology systems;
• Valid and valid driver's license;
• No legal impediments to employment.
