What your role will look like within our team:
- Locate, diagnose, isolate and troubleshoot electrical and electronic system faults;
- Remove and replace defective components;
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance programs by keeping maintenance records;
- Check, install, connect and maintain cables, pipes, controls, circuits, appliances and auxiliary accessories;
- Ensure that the electrical plans and diagrams of the building are updated;
- Verify the conformity of electrical installations made by subcontractors;
- Supervise the work of subcontractors for the maintenance of the building's 25 KV, electronic generators and emergency circuits;
- Maintain the lighting systems of institutional, commercial and industrial buildings.
What we are looking for in our new colleague:
- Diploma of Vocational Studies (DEP) in construction and building electricity;
- Competency card from the Commission de la construction du Québec or Emploi Québec as a journeyman electrician (Mandatory);
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical systems in industrial or institutional buildings (an asset);
- Be available for the 24/7 on-call list (Approximate rotation: once every 5 weeks).
If, in addition, you have:
- A good knowledge of the maintenance of large capacity UPS systems;
- Excellent general knowledge of electrical controls related to buildings;
- And a mastery of reading electrical plans and generator systems.
