globatech, a major player in the provision of technical services to building operations and electromechanical maintenance, is looking for an energetic, inquisitive, pro-customer service colleague to join the finance team.

The Director of Finance is looking for an Accounting Analyst who wants to be a key player in supporting and managing the business units of the 6 divisions. This is a position where the days are very different from one another.

The analyst will support the management team and project managers in the analysis, development and evaluation of project costs. Among other things, he or she will be responsible for providing timely and relevant information and analyses, such as profitability, cost price, etc.

Our new colleague works directly with the Director and Controller. He or she will also support the department in resolving payroll, accounts payable and receivable issues as required.

Mastery of Excel software is an important element that will facilitate the analyst's daily work. There will also be a great deal of English-language communication with the Ontario divisions.

In collaboration with the accounting team, he/she will also have a front-row seat to respond to requests and resolveERP-related problems.

The office is located in Quebec City in the Colbert industrial park near Sainte-Foy.

What you'll be doing:

• Perform periodic analysis of projects to monitor progress against objectives;
• Identify trends and/or irregularities in operational results that have an impact on the ability to achieve divisional and corporate objectives;
• Respond to internal needs in terms of performance statistics and implement appropriate, tailor-made performance indicators;
• Provide accounting support and guidance to managers;
• Develop and implement solutions to optimize operations and work tools;
• Collaborate with contract managers in the analysis and preparation of bids as required;
• Act as a reference and support users in the effective and efficient use of internal management control software;
• Carry out various general accounting mandates;
• Respond to various cost accounting requests (reports).

What would really help you to carry out your tasks?

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting or other relevant training;
• CPA accounting designation (an asset);
• 5 years of relevant experience;
• Experience working in a project management environment;
• Excellent command of Excel;
• Knowledge of ERP - Netsuites, CTRL, therefore (an asset);
• Mastery of customer service or consulting role;
• Bilingual or advanced English (Ontario division);
• Excellent analytical and synthesis skills.
